We work all the time within the company through internal programs as well as with official bodies on the lookout for new ways of obtaining products which are respectful with the environment.

We are constantly searching to obtain high quality products, according to consumer preferences and with enough profitability to keep and increase our labour force.

In that particular sense work is being done together with the University of California to develop new strawberry varieties. Out of this breeding program has been obtained varieties like Albion and more recently San Andreas.

Work is also being done with Spanish strawberry breeding programs like FNM, out of which is worth mentioned the variety Aguedilla.

Viveros Campiñas is on the front line in the investigation to find alternatives to methyl Bromide for soil disinfection. In that sense it has been working in an intensive way with the IVIA to find alternatives which are less harmful to the environment and equally effective for the propagation.
